VON DAVID BOWIE BIS QUANTENPHYSIK − als Manga bockt einfach jedes Thema! Werft auf der Manga-Comic-Con 2025 in Leipzig einen exklusiven Blick in die neuesten Manga, Comics und Anime und trefft eure Stars wieder. Zum Event des Jahres haben sich unter anderem Kamome Shirahama, Miguel Díaz Vizoso, Dan Jurgens, Flavia Scuderi und Marissa Delbressine sowie viele weitere Ehrengäste angekündigt. Ein großes Highlight ist auch das Finale der neuen Cosplay Performance Meister- schaft Deutschland. In Kooperation mit dem Convention-Portal Con-Finder zeichnen wir am Sonntag, dem 30. März, auf der Großen Bühne in Halle 3 die Finalist:innen aus, die sich bereits in den Landesvorent- scheiden bewährt haben. Neu ist auch der Tancho Award: Gemeinsam mit der Deutsch-Japanischen Gesellschaft (DJG) rufen wir Mangaka aus Deutschland dazu auf, ihre besten Werke einzureichen. Die Auszeichnung erfolgt 2026. Apropos Mangaka: Möchtet ihr mehr über die Manga-Independent-Szene erfahren? Über 20 Indie-Künstler:innen laden euch in der Ausstellung Hidden Gems dazu ein. Zum Großteil sind sie auch auf der Conven- tion anzutreffen. Und last but not least: Am 28. März wird wieder der SERAPH, der Literaturpreis für Phantastik, verliehen. Ehrengast aus Japan KAMOME SHIRAHAMA Die japanische Zeichnerin und Illustratorin arbeitete bereits für Marvel und DC, u. a. für deren Star-Wars-Comics. Die Serie „Atelier of Witch Hat“ bzw. die Geschichte der Hexe Coco begeistert in Japan wie in Europa viele Fans. 2019 erhielt die Künstlerin dafür den goldenen Daruma der Japan Expo. In Deutschland erscheint die Serie bei Egmont Manga. Ehrengäste aus Aller Welt ODIN HELGHEIM Der Norweger stammt aus Sandefjord, verbrachte als Kind aber einige Jahre in den USA. Hier entdeckte er seine Liebe zu Comics und begann selbst zu zeichnen. Inzwischen ist er für seine Ragnarök-Serie aus der Welt der Wikinger bei den Fans bestens bekannt. Auf der MCC präsentiert er den dritten Teil „Donnergott“. MIGUEL DÍAZ VIZOSO Der in Belgien lebende Spanier ist einer der wenigen ofﬁ ziellen Zeichner der blauen Helden aus dem Studio Peyo. Bereits sieben Schlümpfe-Alben stammen aus seiner Feder. Zwischenzeitlich hat er auch eine Geschichte für Bob de Groots Funny-Klassiker „Robin Ausdemwald“ geschaffen. MINI LUDVIN Die französische Comiczeichnerin und Illustratorin setzt die Abenteuer der Nachwuchshexe Elfi e und ihrer Schwestern liebevoll in Szene. In Frankreich ist sie auch bekannt für ihre Comics „Mathilde“ und „Yézidie !“. Sie entwickelt auch Zeichentrickﬁ lme und arbeitet als Autorin für zahlreiche französische Verlage. Ehrengäste aus Aller Welt DAN JURGENS Den US-Zeichner und Autor verbindet man vor allem mit Superman, obwohl er auch alle anderen großen Super- helden gezeichnet hat. In „The Death of Superman“ ließ er diesen 1992 jedoch sterben und kurz danach wiederaufer- stehen – eine Storyline voll ikonischer Momente, Bilder und Cover, die Jurgens zu einer Comic-Ikone gemacht hat. MIKE PERKINS Der aktuell in den USA lebende britische Zeichner und Autor ist bei den Fans einer der beliebtesten Künstler. Für DC und Marvel hat er fast jede Serie betreut – ob Batman, Superman, Spider-Man oder X-Men. Auch auf der Bühne legt der Kreative immer wieder einen spannenden Auftritt hin. Flavia Scuderi Die Italienerin lebt in Berlin und arbeitet seit Langem für Disney, u. a. als Schöpferin der Hexe Lilli. Ihre große Leidenschaft gilt Marlene Dietrich. Gemeinsam mit Autor Alessandro Ferrari hat sie eine zweibändige Comic-Biograﬁ e über Dietrich veröffentlicht. Nicht nur als Zeichnerin, son- dern auch als Sängerin widmet sie sich gerne dem Star. MARISSA DELBRESSINE Die niederländische Animatorin, Illustratorin und Zeichnerin entwirft Comics und Manga und veranstaltet Kunstwork- shops. Ihre animierten Kurzﬁ lme wurden bereits auf vielen Festivals gezeigt.
